Renovation of Scuola Grande Di San Marco

Scuola Grande Di San Marco Scuola Grande Di San Marco, part of the Civil Hospital of Venice, has been reopened after a long renovation.

Finally the wonderful Salone dell Colonne, Sala Capitolare and Sala dell’Albergo can be admired again by everybody.
This wonderful building is an opera of Mauro Codussi (the same architect who realized the Clock Tower in Piazza San Marco) who during the 1490 completed the facade and the wonderful internal stair (which is actually a reconstruction made during the ‘900).

logo redentore positivoWe are gettin’ closer to Redentore’s Night!!! This Festival is very popular in Venice, it’s a mix of religious theme and spectacular celebration. It’s held since 1577, every year!!!

San Marco Basin will be the heart of the Festival. This Saturday, 20th July 2013, thousands of boats will joint there, dressed with ballons, lights and music. All together they will wait the big final of the night: the fireworks!!!

Thousand of colors and shades will light up the Lagoon and the Monuments facing Saint Mark’s Area.

klimt Gustav Klimt comes again in Venice!!! This exhibition held in Correr Museum in Piazza San Marco it’s an occasion to celebrate is 150 Anniversary of the artist’s Birth (1862 – 2012).
Also is about 100 years far from his first participation to Venice’s Biennale (1910). “Gustav Klimt in the sign of Hoffmann and the Secession” (this is the title choosed for this venetian event) has the pourpose to introduce the visitorat the evolution of Klimt’s architecture and painting with an incredible cycle of drawings, painting, furnituress and jewelry.
