CARLO SARACENI. A VENETIAN BETWEEN ROME AND EUROPE

It opens at the Accademia Art Gallery a large anthological exhibition dedicated to Carlo Saraceni (1579-1620), seventeenth-century Venetian painter of great repute.
The artist, although he was very attached to its territory, has spent most of career in Rome, where he was known simply as “the Venetian”.
In the eternal city he received his most important purchasers, helping to make great the Venetian footprint outside the borders of the Serenissima.
