A new appointment at Peggy-Guggenheim Museum here in Venice!
Utopia has always been a matter of investigation for many artists of the past and of the present. “A parallel place with its own storie” this is how Thomas More described his Utopia during the XVIth Century. Many others explored this “new field”, researching new places sometimes just located in their own thoughts.
Utopia Matters starts from here: an exposition that analyse this concept in the art and the grown of artistic communities.
Utopia Matters will be held from the 1st May 2010 until the 25th July 2010. The director is Vivien Green. For more information you can visit the official website of the museum www.guggenheim-venice.it .

Fondazione Città Italia just finished the restoration of Cappella Pisani’s fresco, inside of Tolentini church close to Piazzale Roma in Venice, with the contribution of the Venice’s Casinò.
This Fresco is an opera of Camillo Procaccini: a portrait of angels and on the back a monk who shoot San Carlo Borromeo (a real happening!). This opera is a real rarity for many reasons: the author, the subject (San Carlo Borromeo is painted in the whole cappella, completely painted by Procaccini) and for the paint technique (oil based, very hard to preserve during the centuries).
But not the whole Cappella is restored, there are still 30.000 € missing to finish the job!!!
We remember you that the visit of the Tolentini Chruch is free of charge, if you come in Venice you have to visit it!!!

Buongiorno a Tutti!
A presto!!! - Lo staff di Venice-Tourism.com

Goodmorning Everybody!

Also the most popular language in the web is english!!! If anybody is not able to write in english they can use their own language, we will do our best to translate the posts.
