Until September 13 will be visible at Cà Corner (ground and I° st floor), the exhibition, curated by Salvatore Settis and Davide Gasparotto,twin of the exhibition held in the new site of the Fondazione Prada in Milan. The exhibition consists of eighty works, cleverly arranged in an impeccable line up, which extend the theme on classicism and the formation of a collectionism primarly Italian, exploring the origins and function of the reproductions of classical sculptures. The route, which offers thumbnails in different scales of some of the masterpieces of classicism as the Farnese Hercules ,Apollo del Belvedere, Marcus Aurelius, Laocoonte , Torso del Belvedere, can be readas “a snapshot of the social ritual of the collector who shows to visitors and friends the pearls of his collection …”.

A daily flow of thousands of tourists overwhelms Venice every day, tourists that often stays for a single day (or even less) pretending to grasp the beauty, culture and millenary history of this unique city in the world. Becoming themselves target of a satire that often does not recognize the real object of their desire: to capture an intrinsic part of knowledge and the Venetian cultural experience. It is however the same desire expressed by the European intellectual and cultural world in the form of a “pilgrimage to see the Biennials. This means that the European intellectual thought cannot be separated from European tourism, nor from the object created by man, “points out clearly Jimmie Durham. Durham also keep on saying , “tourists and intellectuals share, of Venice, a romantic vision that erases the reality of Venetian workers, which recreate the city constantly, preventing ruin of the city, and reshape it under everybody’s eyes”.
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of Marni (fashion house founded in 1994 by Swiss designer Consuelo Castiglioni), Marni Prisma will occupy until November 22nd spaces of the Abbey of San Gregorio in Venice with “ Becoming Marni “, a site-specific in ‘ scope of the 56th Biennale of Art. Curated by Stefano Rabolli Pansera, under the supervision of Carolina Castiglioni, creative director of special projects at Marni, the exhibition consists of a hundred wooden sculptures made by the self-taught Brazilian artist Véio.
On the occasion of the 56th international art Biennale of Venice, amongst collateral events, Chang Yahon investigates the theme of being with the show “The Question of Beings” visible at the Santa Maria della Pietà (ground floor). Site-specific exposure occurs in a series of new paintings and installations that explore the conscious and unconscious nature of individuals.With these new works Chang questions the diversity and complexity of living beings, in an attempt to learn the similarities and differences between the recesses of human and animal instinct. Yahon Chang reflects his life experiences using the mode of meditative style portraiture: his feelings of rejection, acceptance, love and struggle seem to emerge by the paintings that appear to be made with chaotic, almost random traits, helping to create a singular compositional style.
On the occasion of the 56th Biennale of Arts, opened in Venice the exhibition The Rock and Roll Public Library, site-specific installation of memorabilia collected over 40 years by the musician and producer Mick Jones, former guitarist of The Clash. Organized by Mick Jones himself, James Putnam and Lauren Jones (Alteria Art), the exhibition features some of the personal memorabilia of rock star previously stored in a warehouse in West London. The exhibition is arranged in three rooms on the ground floor at the Institute La Pietà, and is characterized by wall installations, a listening cabin 70s style, shop windows decorated with vivid collage, rare records.
By September 20th at the Museum of Palazzo Grimani in Santa Maria Formosa is exceptionally exposed the entire corpus of polychrome woodblock prints of Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858), one of the greatest protagonists of the Japanese art of all time.
At the end of the 19th century his art fascinated and conquered Europe and its artists, including Van Gogh, who replied two of his operas with oil technique.
The exhibition offers the most famous and beloved images of the great interpreter, undisputed master of the landscape, called the “poet of nature“.
From August 27 to September 6, 2014 opens at the Lido of Venice the 71st International Cinema exibithion of Venice, organised by the Venice Biennale, under the direction of Alberto Barbera.
Like every year, starting from the first edition held in 1932, the purpose of the exhibition is to raise awareness and enhance the international cinema!

The Venice Film Festival reaches this year its 70th Edition! The program is rich and varied and as always many Movie Stars are expected to come at the Lido di Venezia: George Clooney, James Franco, Matt Demon, Scarlett Johansson, Zac Efron.
The project this year is special because of the 70th Anniversary. The title is Venezia 70 – Future Reloaded: 70 Directors from all over the world have received the invitation to make a short film (lasting between 60 and 90 seconds) to celebrate the Anniversary of the Exhibition. All these 70 Directors attended at least once in the past editions of the Venice Film Festival.
From the 22nd of September to the 4th of November 2012, Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de musique romantique française -, will host a series of concerts, all grouped under the theme “Festival of antiquity, mythology and romanticism“, characterized from the past, from Neoclassicism and by modernity.
