The Art Biennale in June 2011

biennale-fondazione-logoThe President of La Biennale di Venezia, Paolo Baratta, accompanied by the Director of the 54th International Art Exhibition, Bice Curiger, met on October 20th, 2010 the representatives of the participating countries, which for the very first time will include Govern d’Andorra, Saudi Arabia, Kingdom of Bahrain, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Republic of Rwanda, as well as Congo and India, which last participated respectively in 1968 and 1980.

The Wagner Museum

wagnerOn February 13 1995 the room on the mezzanine floor where the famous composer, Richard Wagner died, was entrusted by the local authorities to the Associazione Richard Wagner di Venezia, headed by Giuseppe Pugliese. The area has since been turned into a museum and opened to the public in eternal memory of the composer and his love for Venice.

Free Guided visit at the Libreria Sansoviniana

Biblioteca MarcianaThe guided visit is developed in all the Sale Monumentali of the Marciana Library on Saint Mark’s Square, and it’s goal it’s to point out the painting itinerary offered by the rich painted decoration inside the Library’s rooms, works of srtists as Tiziano Vecellio, Paolo Veronese and il Tintoretto.
